In the original finished art for this page, Grissom was visible next to Roka in panel 5. But I always meant for Bocce to just be counting the six main crew members here: Roka, Ril, Bocce, Sky, Cember, and Bennesaud. So he refers to her only knowing the four of them currently present, plus Ril. And I specifically staged the art so those four would all be clearly present in the panel to sell the line. But then I also drew Grissom for whatever reason, which made it seem like Grissom was meant to be counted, making the math not work. So I did a very last minute tweak to remove her from the panel. Sorry, Grissom, but that’s what you get for photobombing the scene.
I don’t know Sean, Grissom has been known to hold grudges. Still it does make sense for the panel to show the actual members. Maybe place her in the second panel?
Jokes aside, great storytelling on this page. Another candidate for the favourite page of this volume. Let’s just call it my favourite volume! When is the Kickstarter? 😉
New ally or new teammate?
Funny thing is, the less harm approach is killing a Kaagan-Vas. For each Kaagan-Vas slain, you’re probably avenging several hundred people and saving several hundred people (ratio dependent on the age of the Kaagan-Vas to determine slain to saved there).
The Kaagan-Vas are like 200 MS13’s in a trench coat, it’s not really an argument. Especially when you’re killing them one-on-one. If you shot down a Kaagan-Vas ship, you might be all, “Oh! What if they had civilian prisoners of slaves?!” But disemboweling Murders Georg in person is probably admissible regardless of your alignment on any matter.
