did she turn into metal?
Originally, I never meant it to be METAL, per se. She just becomes super dense, stronger, and more impervious to harm. In the very early drafts, I was just going to have her turn white when displaying this super dense attribute. But visually, I’m not sure just a skin color change would have really conveyed those changes to strength and invulnerability. I needed a visual cue. So I decided to make her look a bit more metallic-y so people would immediately recognize those attributes through association with comic characters like Colossus, Iron Man, etc. So while she isn’t exactly metal, the physiological change makes the surface of her skin all shiny as a result of its properties being altered.
BTW, “the Sky is falling” is awesome. I’m surprised I didn’t think of that! 🙂
