While I have a lot of story centered around Sky and her backstory, I will admit that her personality has been a tough nut to crack. While she is clearly kind, open hearted, and likeable, it’s been a bit tough finding something to really latch onto like I have with a number of the other characters. But I do think she’s gotten a few lines here and there that I find make her a bit more fun. Many chapters ago, I like her calling out, “You’re welcome for saving your lives!” to some fleeing port workers. And here, I just like her line, “These jerks again.”

I can’t say I’ve found Sky’s personality to be all over the place, so there definitely is no Defect in that part of her character. Don’t hurt me Jayd!
I think it’s fine and also a person’s personality can change. Like it seems that nobody has spoken to Jayd before like Sky has done. While we might not see a change right away, she has gotten some food for thought.
Good to hear you haven’t had any issues with Sky. I’m just always worried about characters being a bit bland and not having enough personality. So glad to know people are enjoying her!
If Jayd did become an artist she would probably have to deal with fewer assassins. On the other hand Jayd is good at fighting assassins but likely lacks the skillset necessary to defend herself against art critics whose attacks bypass all shields and do damage directly to the ego.
On a more serious note: Sky may have grown to like Jayd but I hope she realises that all Jayd’s kind words in panel three have no meaning unless she acts on them. There can be no real reciprocation while Jayd still has power over her.
