With a returning character that hasn’t been seen in a while, I like to incorporate some recap into the conversation while still making it seem natural. In this case, I wanted to mention the Tique Amara, the other freighter that Roka decided to keep and stash in their mining asteroid secret base (back in Volume 1). And I wanted to remind readers that Grissom was part of Roka’s crew but got caught and sent to prison, since that is a pretty big part of her backstory.
