As a random note, I split up the preceding ten pages between my two colorists, Wes Hartman and Cyril Vincent. Wes got all the Iron Echo pages and Cyril got the Tet’Sali flagship (interior) pages. I think the sequence came out well and it’s not obvious that there were two colorists splitting the work.
Indeed, all the pages seem to be in colour harmony.
While the attitude from commander V’Kar is what I expected, I do wonder how many Tas’qelar pilots would obey without hesitation.
“Some of your pilots may die, but that is a sacrifice I am willing to make.”
Also bold actions win wars but only if they actually have a chance of succeeding.
If not in this story, I get the feeling this is going to come up in a future story down the line. That’s not a phaser Chekov over there is carrying.
“Some of your pilots may die, but that is a sacrifice I am willing to make.” That is some WW1 field general speak.
