The mystery stalker is finally revealed!
From Keyla’s dialog, it’s pretty clear that she’s the one who has been following them, but I hope it’s also fairly clear from the visual cues. As I mentioned in a previous commentary, that’s why I designed her cloak to have a somewhat distinctive patchwork-and-fur-collar look, so that it would register visually as the same person whenever she popped up.
I also intentionally drew her in panel 1 in a very similar pose and from the same camera angle as her two previous appearances on The Big Snow Job #2, Page 9 and The Big Snow Job #3, Page 10. The intent was to hopefully either consciously or subconsciously help readers make that connection.
So I am going to step out on a limb and guess “Old Sawtooth’s” real name might be Suul and Benne’s past is going to be biting everyone in the butt.
That mug can bite anything in the butt.
Deus ex Keyla. (But in a good way!) After the remaining speed bumps, I foresee a cooperation. Spy info for free running, perhaps – if Baso doesn’t already cover that angle.
Btw: female, no horn; makes sense. (But didn’t the yaks all have horn? So that species have to watch out for some fierce predators!) Heh, speaking of horns, you can see how Goshen’s seems to drop when he asks for Baso. Who knew goat faces could express so much emotion?
Visual clues that worked for me: the patch work, the loose long hair and the eyes.
Hold on…
We had a Kaylee in the last bonus entry and now we have a Keyla in the Runner’s pages.
Coincidence?
