BONUS CONTENT: Sketchbook: Flashback Bocce
With the more recent sketchbook Bonus pages, I tried to pair them up with the actual story pages for that week, but the next several don’t really fit the bill. They deal with the Bocce flashback scene and are showing up now since I didn’t have the space for them earlier. Anyway…
With Bocce’s flashback design, I knew his outfit would be based on the one he wears in the present. Since his present-day black outfit is a cultural thing, I figured his flashback outfit would only make sense to have a similar look. The only thing I tried to do with it was to make it a little more rural in feel to go with the farm setting.
And the hand-towel around the waist. Because who couldn’t use a hand towel every now and then. Especially on sloppy joe day.
I wouldn’t mind if future stories would contain more information about cultural things.
Like why was/is Bocce dressed in all black with white details, while his Pahjan wore a secondary color.
Does that involve sloppy joes as well?
Well. The design is very asian looking, but I would think that the design is too rich in not only in materials but in color if you are intending to use it. If you know is that if you are living in a enviroment that requires manual labor as in farming, driving, etc. You would not be wearing anything that would be expensive looking, bulky, or not too revealing.
Another thing that most people know is that a towel is universal. Not only can help get you clean from being wet, but also if you put the towel over your head, the monster would think that if you can not see them, then it can not see you… so it will not attack you.
