Snow Job #3 done!
The artwork for The Big Snow Job #3 is now completely done! Woo hoo! I just finished the lettering last week. Weird thing is I don’t really have a need for single-issue covers anymore, now that I’m doing it as a webcomic. But I kinda feel like I should do them anyway as chapter break images. So I guess issue #3 isn’t COMPLETELY done until I finish that image. Dangit.
I might be mistaking, or false informed, did you say that you’re putting the rest of the series
together as one, or are you still selling the chapters in a completed graphic novel?
I plan to keep uploading pages for “The Big Snow Job” here at runnersuniverse.com every Monday and Thursday until the 5-issue series is done. That should be around sometime late next year. Around that time, I will also collect the entire story (plus some bonus features) into a printed graphic novel. There won’t be any printed single issue comics though.
If I end up getting an Artist Alley table at NY Comic-Con 2010, I MIGHT get the graphic novel printed in time for that show, which is in October. That would actually mean the graphic novel might be available a little early, while the last chapter is about halfway through posting online. Of course that all depends on if I get a table at NYCC and if I can crank through the rest of the story and get everything formatted for print in time. I also want to include an exclusive short story with the graphic novel, so I’ll have to factor that time in as well!
Would the completed “Big Snow Job” graphic novel be sold online at the
time of the New York Comic Con, or only there, and another question is
will you be at April’s Boston Comic Con? (Sorry, for be overwhelming with
stupid questions but I love this graphic novel and I love having collectible
series).
I’m definitely looking forward to the complete GN of the series. It will be really cool to sit down and just read the whole thing (with bonus stuff, of course).
I will morn the loss of the singles (my perferred reading style), but I will still get the graphic novel. If you do ConnectiCon again next year, I hope you at least offer pre-orders.
I think if I had them for sale at NYCC (and that’s a big “if”), I would make them available online as well. I’d also try to get it into the Diamond system. My big hope is to really try to increase the readership of the webcomic series and hope it translates into graphic novel sales, given Diamond’s order minimums. So any help people can give in spreading the word or suggesting ways to get the series out there to more people would be greatly appreciated.
I’m currrently planning to be at both the April 2010 Boston Comic Con and next year’s Connecticon. I might not offer pre-orders at the shows, but I would offer it here at the RunnersUniverse Store page when the time is ready.
