RUNNERS Vol 1 Kickstarter is LIVE!!

The Kickstarter campaign to fund the printing of Vol 1 in color has officially begun!! I am extremely excited to get the first book in color to match Vol 2, the upcoming Vol 3, and all future stories. The campaign runs from May 21 to June 24, so be sure to get your pledges in before then! The book will be available in both paperback and Kickstarter-exclusive hardcover editions, and copies of Vol 2 are also still available, in both paperback and hardcover.

I am offering a number of rewards with the Kickstarter campaign, which include:

Set of three 8″ x 10″ prints

Set of seven 4″ x 6″ character cards

8″ x 10″ character portraits, inked or toned-paper commissions

Super-deluxe 11″ x 17″ inked commission of the entire crew!

Please check out the Kickstarter campaign for RUNNERS Vol 1 and I hope you’ll help me make it a success! And please help spread the word! New sci-fi and comic readers always welcome. 🙂

Thanks everyone!!! Go Kickstarter!!

Awwww yeah! First day and already a quarter of the way there! 8’D

I’m in the tight budget portion of this month, so I’ll have to wait a little bit before backing myself, but next month’s my Birthday, and I know where a portion of that Birthday money’s gonna be going~ ;D

((Little question: With the commissioned character portraits, are we *only* able to ask for the specific character, or could we also ask for little things, like for the character to have “X” expression, or for them to be wearing the outfit they wore on page/issue “X”?))

You can definitely get more specific in the portrait request! I think most things from the actual book would be pretty safe. I just might decline something excessive like “Roka fighting 20 Jondhi police officers. In a Speedo.” Because clearly, that would already be in the works as a forthcoming print. Ha ha.

great to hear but Black and White looks even better for Runners for me will Snow Job ever get a Black and White Release also when will Vol 3 start getting posted?

  3. Sean Wang says:

Interesting! You may be the first person I’ve heard from who PREFERS b&w! If only everyone had that sentiment, the book printing would be so much cheaper. Ha ha. Sadly, no plans for a b&w Vol 2. If there was ever strong demand, I suppose I could do a digital version, but most likely not a print version. Vol 3 will start posting later this year. I got a little sidetracked with the color Vol 1 (which wasn’t originally part of the plan), and I still have a lot of concepting to do. But it’s coming!

    • BigShadow says:

cool but to have our cake and eat it to why not have flashback in Black and White it would give things a nice Noir feel like Roka’s flashback in bad goods also will Vol 3 give spotlight to someone else vol 1 was for Roka somewhat Vol 2 Bocce and Benne minimally who’s next Ril Cember The Brimia itself?
