Not much to say here except that I really like how the aerial view of the clay pits turned out. I pretty much never do real mapped-out perspective guides, with grids of lines drawn to actual vanishing points. I tend to just eyeball things for all my perspective shots. I think in most cases, I can get close enough to pass muster unless someone looks really hard. I just find it more fun to draw that way than with actual ruled-out lines.

Being able to visualize perspective shots has always been something I’ve been able to do decently. Early on, I thought that was just a part of being an artist, but I later found out that it is indeed something that many great artists struggle with. So I guess I’m glad it’s something that comes a little more naturally for me. Now to work on the things that don’t come as naturally. Like everything else. Ha ha.
