Flashbacks can be a little tricky, especially with a character who has memory loss. While I already showed the tail end of Bocce’s life on the farm (the Kaagan-Vas attack) in the last book, I wanted to show the earlier farm days here. While his various flashbacks cover different aspects of his life there, to make things easier to absorb, I decided to keep all his flashbacks in this volume in chronological order, starting with him waking up on the farm.
