More gore! Huzzah! I thought it was important for Bocce to kill one of the Kaagan-Vas in a fairly personal and vicious way, so decapitation seemed like the way to go. And we also get to see him bust out his arm’s stun feature, which we first saw in Bad Goods #5, Page 2. For some reason, I think it would be funny to have a small word balloon coming from Uskulon’s head in the last panel, saying, “I regret nothing.” But I suppose that would kinda spoil the mood.
I’m sort of imagining an “ouch?” there, myself. 😀
more like snap, crackle and pop. 🙂
“Oops.”
Looks like Bocce wasn’t bluffing when he said he could handle the situation with Grissom.
I’m very anxious to see how the other crew members will react to his actions.
“I regret nothing” would have fitted the mood and meant something if Uskulon would have been build up as a major threat and we got learn a few of his foulest deeds.
It still could have meant something if Uskulon had looked Bocce in the eye and realized his time had come and said: “I regret nothing”. That would have put over Uskulon’s experience as a warrior/thug and Bocce’s state of mind.
If you meant to show us something about Uskulon’s biology and let the head talk after being ripped off I think a few curse words would have been more ‘appropriate’. 😉
Good sequence of actions! It’s been difficult to wait a week for the next one to appear.
Very powerful page. Cathartic.
Instead of “I regret nothing,” he could have said, “Oh man, I left the kettle on.”
Interesting that his arm doesn’t have enough force to decapitate without the help of his flesh-and-blood arm.
Good point. I suppose the arm might have the ability to do it on its own, but something about the look of using the other arm in the strangle hold made it visually much more compelling to me.
