I love epilogue scenes. I used to do them quite a bit when I was working on the Tick comic series, in the seasonal special one-shots and especially in the 6-issue Tick and Arthur title.
In this case, I felt the need to explain some of Tylo’s reasoning. He of course knows what’s in the containers, so if two turn up empty, he has to suspect Roka of withholding information….unless he already feels he knows what happened. And it also shows Tylo to be a smart man, to have worked out a contingency plan in advance with his contact on board the Amara just in case the ship came under attack while in transit with the goods.
Which brings us to that other lifepod floating the the Gamelon Cluster that Hamron missed finding back in issue #3…
Loved this first story, awesome stuff. Looking forward to more.
I forgot all about the epilogue! Does this mean the Big Snow Job starts Monday? Also any clues for us readers as to when the other lifepod will start playing a role in the larger story?
Actually, the last page of the epilogue will post on Monday. After that, The Big Snow Job begins!! Just to let people know though, since I’m still working on that series and need to buffer in some time, the new series will post twice a week, Monday and Thursday. So the first page will post on Thursday, Sept 3.
As for the other pod, it doesn’t figure into the next story, but it will be popping up eventually. I know WHAT I plan to do with it, but I haven’t quite figured out WHEN.
i love how all the little bits and pieces connect. nice work!
