For Bennesaud’s weapon, I didn’t want to do the cliched thing of having the big guy have the most enormous weapon. So I went the opposite route and gave him the smallest, which is basically just a finger cannon. Basically, the contraption just straps on to his hand and the trigger is activated by pressing a button at the fingertip. There’s a safety cap that can flip down to cover the firing button when not in use to prevent accidental firing.
Ha great page! Love Cember’s entrance. Yep, I think he is my favorite.
ahh.. lessee… I think I’ve run into ‘finger’ guns before… Steve Perry “The Man Who Never Missed” (and related stories), and David Webber (Flag in Exile, I think).
Still, now that I’ve picked that booger, I have to agree – putting that on hulk-boy is pretty cool.
Not familiar with those two authors or those stories, which highlights the rather sad fact that I don’t read nearly as much sci-fi as I should. I find I don’t even have much time for a lot of comics either these days.
In the meantime, all this talk of “fingers” and “boogers” has me wanting to move on to the next topic…. 🙂
