Welcome to RunnersUniverse.com! Below each page, I’ll be posting some random comments or behind-the-scenes info on that particular page. So even if you’ve already read the story, you’ll find some fun, new nuggets of info here.
This image was the cover for the 2005 Free Comic Book Day issue, which itself was a touched-up reprinting of the original Bad Goods #1 issue. I like this cover much more than the original, so there you go.
“Serve Man Press” is the name I use for my self-published works. A few people have picked up on the reference, which is a nod to the classic Twilight Zone episode “To Serve Man,” in which humans invited aboard an alien spaceship discover a book titled “To Serve Man,” only to realize it’s a cookbook! Thus the image of an alien with a knife and fork and napkin around his neck. The episode was most famously spoofed in The Simpsons in the very first “Treehouse of Horror” Halloween episode, where aliens Kang and Kodos abduct the family and Lisa discovers the space-dust-covered book “How to Cook For Forty Humans.”

Where can I find the regular cover?
It’s not as large as this image, but you can at least see the original cover here: http://www.seanwang.com/run01_badgoods/
