Originally, Bocce was going to say, “I’m a good person,” then hit the assassin, and then say, “I didn’t say I was a GREAT person.” But that seemed a bit familiar. And yep, I eventually remembered that the show Firefly did something similar. So I changed it. Stupid Firefly. Ha ha.

Kidding aside, nice development for Bocce. Perhaps Sky being shocked by his brutality during the Big Snow Job made him re-think a few things.
I think the line you went with works better, anyway. It showcases that he’s trying to control his anger and not cross that line as well as honoring his mentor.
And that’s when Grissom or Cember straight up shoot the guy, then break the 4th wall, “What? I did not want to deal with him coming back in Chapter 8. I’m sparing someone a glancingly thematic arm, face, or tentacle injury.”
