This beat with Grissom wasn’t originally intended but I like that in a very short amount of space, it accomplishes three things. It contributes to the mini-arc regarding Roka feeling distant from Grissom and thinking she may not have his back anymore, so it’s nice to see that she does. It also gives her character a hint of more backstory as we learn what prison might have been like for her. And finally, it makes for a good transition to Bocce’s fight scene. As I mentioned before, I do love when one thing can serve multiple purposes.

Also, Bocce’s design from the very beginning has included this knife on the back of his belt, but I don’t think I’ve shown him using it until now. Next, he’ll finally get to all those Chiclets he has stored in his belt pouches that have also gone heretofore unused.
