I hope this sequence reads properly, but I know it’s possibly a bit confusing. It was pretty clear in my head and while I was penciling and inking, but at the coloring stage, I wondered if the HIT MARKS on the Liotian (gray) fighters would look for FIRING BLASTS, as if they were shooting too. My hope is that the “pak” “pak” sound effects on both the Liotian ships and the Iron Echo would convey that all of them are being hit by the Tas’Qelar (brown) ships.
Regardless, I do like the dynamic shots of this scene, with the Iron Echo quickly turning around in panel 1 and the two Liotian fighters splitting on either side of the sideways Echo in the last panel.
Wow! What’s a little friendly fire to an uneasy alliance?
I really like that turn on the first panel.
Yes, they won’t risk hitting the Liotian ships.
The ships notorious for being armored to the point of sluggishness. The ships that are basically giant shells of metal from the front that can take a sun exploding in their face and shrug it off.
This could turn into a poison for Kuzco tangent.
I very much like that milky-way effect in the space backgrounds.
