Kickstarter DONE! Thanks everyone!!

November 18, 2013

As of a couple week ago, I officially finished sending out all the Kickstarter rewards that I was able to. There were a few people who never got their addresses to me and some who didn’t reply to emails asking for additional info or international shipping, but other than that, everything has gone out at this point! I hope it was worth the wait. It ended up taking a bit longer than I originally planned, but I had decided to tackle everything myself, and that ended up taking quite a bit of time as a one-man operation. By my tally, between copies of Bad Goods and The Big Snow Job, I ended up doing over 755 head sketches!!

Along the way, I apparently forgot to send out the digital version of the Battle Royale Print. While backers over $35 received a free physical print as a Stretch Goal reward, I had also announced that EVERYONE would get the digital version. Oops. I will be correcting that very shortly, so Kickstarter backers, be on the lookout for an update with a link to a higher-res version of the image below.

Finally, I have now updated the Store with both the hardcover and paperback versions of the new graphic novel, as well as some leftover sketchbooks, prints, and character card sets from the Kickstarter project. If you missed anything during the campaign, you can get most of the items now at the Store. You can also now get digital PDF versions of both graphic novels and the sketchbook! Woot!

Thanks everyone for making the Kickstarter campaign such a success. And thanks for all the amazing support, encouragement, and patience during the process!!

RUNNERS Vol 1 IN COLOR!!

May 7, 2018

I’ve very excited to announce that RUNNERS Volume 1: Bad Goods will be re-issued very shortly IN COLOR!

While I still think the b&w version of Vol 1 works well, I know that b&w art can be a deterrent for some readers, which I’d hate to be the case with my series. Also, after having done Vol 2 in color, I really do think color helps sell the sci-fi world of the series quite a bit. As I started working on Vol 3, I decided that Vol 1 really should be in color sooner rather than later to (a) open up the series to as many readers as possible, and (b) visually match Vol 2 and all future RUNNERS books, which will also be in color.

I am currently putting together a Kickstarter campaign to fund the printing of the new color Vol 1, and I hope to launch the campaign on May 21. Please help me spread the word about the Kickstarter and the new color version of Bad Goods! The Kickstarter would be a great time for new readers to jump onto the series and current readers to experience the first book in a whole new way. In the meantime, keep checking here for more page samples and additional info on the upcoming campaign!

RUNNERS Vol 1 Kickstarter is LIVE!!

May 21, 2018

The Kickstarter campaign to fund the printing of Vol 1 in color has officially begun!! I am extremely excited to get the first book in color to match Vol 2, the upcoming Vol 3, and all future stories. The campaign runs from May 21 to June 24, so be sure to get your pledges in before then! The book will be available in both paperback and Kickstarter-exclusive hardcover editions, and copies of Vol 2 are also still available, in both paperback and hardcover.

I am offering a number of rewards with the Kickstarter campaign, which include:

Set of three 8″ x 10″ prints

Set of seven 4″ x 6″ character cards

8″ x 10″ character portraits, inked or toned-paper commissions

Super-deluxe 11″ x 17″ inked commission of the entire crew!

Please check out the Kickstarter campaign for RUNNERS Vol 1 and I hope you’ll help me make it a success! And please help spread the word! New sci-fi and comic readers always welcome. 🙂

Thanks everyone!!! Go Kickstarter!!

New Interview with Wayne’s Comics Podcast

May 22, 2018

To go with the Kickstarter campaign, here is an hour-long interview I did just for Wayne’s Comics Podcast at Major Spoilers. It was a lot of fun and I address a number of Wayne’s great questions regarding my search for publishers, the lure of tweaking all the art during the coloring process, how Game of Thrones and Harry Potter are big inspirations for the series, and more!
