I really loved how panel 4 came out because it’s one of those rare panels where you can actually SEE a character’s mouth voicing the dialogue. In most cases, I’ll just do a regular “talky” mouth to go with dialogue, but in this case I really wanted to nail the delivery of Sky’s playful line, so I tried to capture her mouth shape as best I could.
And here we have the introduction of Sky’s neck tattoo. I kinda wish I had come up with something different for reasons that will become apparent much later in the series. But it’s done now, so I’ll find a way to make it work.
ah you could always have it be one of those weird transforming tattoos…oooh more intrigue.
