The staging here is why I mentioned earlier that I wanted to have some wide open spaces in setting up the location for the shootout sequence. I wanted to have a big area where everyone could gather once the good guys surrendered and the Kaagan-Vas and Suul’s men closed in around them. Plus, there had to be room for all the yak!

I’m pretty happy with how this sequence turned out, especially the cutting back and forth between Goshen and Baso to heighten the tension as Baso struggles with his decision. I like that panels 5 and 6 are actually each character’s POV of the other.
