Definitely an awesome show that deserved a better fate than it got. But while it didn't hit it super-big with the masses, I wouldn't say it didn't catch on. It certainly found a huge audience on DVD and with Serenity, so at least within the sci-fi/comic/geek crowd, it's done really well. Everyone else just doesn't know what they're missing.
